| John In Memoriam We miss you now our hearts are sore As time goes by we'll miss you more Your willing smile, your familiar face Dear John no one can take your vacant place In tears we saw you sinking We watched you fade away Our hearts were almost broken You fought so hard to stay But when we saw you sleeping At peace and free from pain We could not wish you back Dear John To suffer that again Time may wipe out many things But this it wipes out never The memories of those happy days When we were all together His weary hours and days of pain His troubled nights are past And in our aching hearts we know He has found sweet peace at last |
